I played the Doom games when I was growing up, and in 2016, when I was 22, my dad came running into my room excited about the latest trailer for Doom. I had never seen him so excited for a video game before. He died two years later. He loved watching me slaughter demons on the games when I was growing up. He would have loved Doom Eternal and the upcoming Doom: The Dark Ages.
